I couldn't resist the Twitter love fest, so I checked just before I head off to bed. His latest tweet:

Would I be out of line to point out the definition of narcissism?

Vad needs to settle down with this stuff. It's not healthy for him.

A bit I think. I can sort of see how all the crazy crap that went on with this can instill doubt. If a bunch of educated adults can go into complete meltdown mode after every loss then a 17 yr old can have doubts when something bad happens to the school he has chosen.

What he should do is learn not to post All of his thoughts on twitter.

This isn't really a Vad Lee problem. Some kids will literally chronicle their every move on social networking sites. At least he actually has some people who are interested in what he has to say.

A girl I went to high school with and am friends with on facebook updated her status to let everyone know that someone removed her as a friend: "So I just found out someone deleted my off their facebook and I guess they want me to care but frankly my dear I don't give a damn!"
 
The kid should take every visit he can. You only get so many chances to be treated like the king of the world and have pretty girls escort you around and act as though you are a rock star.

Vad, make the most of your recruiting experience and then come to Georgia Tech and help create something special on the field!
 
If I was one of these recruits, I would be posting all sorts of cryptic messages on my twitter, facebook, etc. just to see all of these 20-30 old white boys lose their minds....it would be fun...

I don't think he is Narcissistic, I think he is a sadist and loves to watch the boards meltdown every time he tweets something about looking around.

It's like the "fake throw" when you are playing fetch with a dog. Go get it boy.... LOL Well played Mr. Lee!

exactly!!

I mean goodness. The young man is making the biggest decision of his life. People need to give the guy a break.

He obviously has a large group of tweeter friends and likes to communicate that way. Nothing wrong with that.

We don't feel the pressure he's under. I'd say he's handled it well. I'm sure I'd have thoughts too for what's right, but we all handle pressure differently.
 
The problem is that twitter allows you to share your thoughts real time with all who want to read. The musing and indecision of young guys now becomes internet fodder. Guys who are on the cusp of commitment have always had second thoughts, we just didn't throw them out there for all to read.

I'm not all for it, but that is the prerogative of today's youth, to use technology to expose their inner thoughts. I prefer to leave them private.

Hmmm... were are you the one that told Tuitt to go on that ND visit? He had GT way infront of the field before that visit...

Well sure. Here's the question: Would you want her as your quarterback?

I'm not saying anything. I'm just inferring that quite a bit of the luster has worn off of Vad Lee in my eyes, from his Twitterscapades. At some point, Vad is going to need to learn that great leaders do not seek attention with their words, they acquire attention through their actions.

I believe Vad can learn this lesson. I believe Georgia Tech will be a great place to learn this lesson. I believe Vad is a strong enough person with good enough character to learn this lesson, and as soon as he learns it he will be invaluable to our football team. But if he doesn't learn this lesson within the next two years, I bet the guy transfers. And I really don't want to sit around all of 2011 listening to twitter updates about how frustrated he is running the scout team his freshman year.
