We heard a lot about 5-0 being the best start since 1990, but that year we tied UNC on game 6. The last 6-0 start was 1966. That year we continued the streak to 9-0, then lost to UGA and again to Florida in the Orange Bowl.

We have a chance to do it again but we need toplay one at a time.Clemins is the big kid ont he block and usually they do something stupid and we whip them.Dabo has made a big change with new OC and its shows. We beat them and we can do it all .Of course Miami is a challenge but they have problems,VT is always a fine opponent and Gerogie does strange things to us.We do however have the offense to score on anybody and if and its my-hope,the defense gets in line we can be good.

If we get to 6-0, I will be ecstatic, and I think the chances are VERY good. Then lets worry about UVA and 7-0... I would love to see CPJ set some new records at Tech, including longest winning streak.

The longest winning streak is 31 (Dodd 51-53). To set that is going to require a NC.

And? Is there a problem with that? Especially if we went to a playoff system, where the MNC played 16 games/year. Or to be on the outside looking in one year and win the Orange Bowl (ie: this year if there were 3 undefeated teams from AQ Conferences) and then win it all next year.

you mean several NCs.
not necessarily

14-win NC season and 17 wins combined to end the previous season and start the next season.

Not to mention we could go undefeated and not win a NC. :(

I can conceivably see our team going 12-0 this season and not playing in the MNC. If we went undefeated two years in row though, we'd be in the MNC next year. So, it's possible to go 32-0 and only win one national title. I could care less about national titles though, and the part that makes me happy is that at least two of those wins would be over those assholes in cesspool.

I know this is all wishful thinking, but the kool-aid is definitely free flowing in this thread.

No need to worry... Vad Lee will take us to the promise land.

With Spurrier as QB, no?
