Ohio State (6-6) vs. Florida (6-6). It looks like a Ft. Worth Bowl matchup. Good thing they worked so hard to get rid of the ACC.

OSU fans could care less about this year since the Meyer announcement. Florida fans aren't all that interested either. They said that Miami would fill the stadium in 2000 and we had more fans than they did.

They can call it the battle for relevancy bowl.

I bet they are much happier with that matchup than GT-WVU.

"they" are idiots

They'd take GT-WVU if they could. WVU travels well and Georgia is close enough to draw some fans. For their future, two 6-6 teams really hurts their prestige. It looks like an Emerald Bowl matchup.

Was there any explanation as to why he left UF due to health reasons, but health reasons weren't an issue in taking the OSU job?

He signed a contract with his kids to give up coaching for his health and they aren't happy. He did grow up in Ohio and it is considered his dream job. Besides, I don't think he had the ass for a sideline reporter asking inane questions.

Well, we do have the Gators playing in the Gator Bowl. That has to count for something...right? Right?

WTG, Gator Bowl! It's what you get for trading down to the SEC when you could have had your pick of FSU, GA Tech, or UVA. Now you got two 6-6 teams.

In 2006 they tried to take 6-6 FSU over us, so I don't think that's accurate. I think they are mainly interested in selling out and driving TV ratings, and Fla-OSU will do that much better than GT-WVU would due to location and massive fanbases, even if they are both 6-6.

6-6 Fla is a much bigger draw than an 8-4 GT team which can't even sell out their own stadium.
