Todd Grantham to Louisville

Sounds like Kirby Smart might actually go there....this time.

Ugh...if this happens this offseason will suck.

There will be some couches burned in Athens in celebration if this happens.

Why would Kirby Smart go from the best team in the SEC to a mediocre team in the SEC?

Rumor is they are promising him head-coach-in-waiting, and a cool $1.5 million.

@BFeldmanCBS: #Houston DC David Gibbs has been contacted by #Georgia for vacant UGA DC job, per source. Gibbs D led nation in TOs gained by a big margin.

Sorry, I don't trust Feldman anymore.

It is if you NEVER win the freaking game!

What is your justification for even playing the öööö game?

So Wommack and our D did a great job in '08 giving up 42? Our D did a great job against UNC last year giving up 50?

Believe it or not, you can have a unit perform poorly and still win. Similarly, you can have a unit perform well and still lose.

This is the beginning of the end of the Mark Richt era at Georgia. I think he was told to fire the entire Defensive staff and that is why Leketos and Grantham are moving on. I think they wanted to wait until after signing day but it did not work out. I'm sure Richt does not cotton to being told what to do. Look for him to bail soon. I think he would rather be doing missionary work anyway.

Go Jackets!

I bet he would. :naughty:

Kidding aside, I tend to agree with your insinuation that he was likely encouraged to make some changes. I thought the Lakatos thing was health-related though?

I also agree they probably wanted this to happen after signing day but considering Louisville needed to have their staff in place ASAP that was unrealistic to think it'd wait.

I'm hearing that Petrino is interested in CPJ. Evidently he wants to fill his staff with over-rated coaches who throw tantrums on the sidelines.
