Best brand in college football?

trojans are definitely the best brand. at least better than durex.

ND has been irrelevant for 25 years now. Just about every decent program is on tv every week now that no longer matters.
 
I'm surprised nobody else has pointed out that we got lumped in with UConn, Cincinnati, and Boise State as teams who've made BCS game since USC.
 
If UGA is ranked it is just because of brand confusion with Green Bay.

LOL you're not helping yourself. They were irrationally hyped despite not being that great BECAUSE of their brand.

Think about how much anticipation there is going to be for our game with them next year. How many other 7-5 teams would garner that much attention from us?
 
Guy is basically full retart. Like 95% of USC's class is in CA and adjacent P12 states. Nobody in the P12 is even close to USC in terms of resources or money or anything...ok maybe Oregon is close, but Oregon is in Eugene...slightly different than going to school in LA. Nobody really wants to spend 4 years in Eugene except pot smoking white kids that don't get into UC schools.

There's just way too much talent in CA for USC to ever not reel in good classes barring a full implosion of the program. Even in 2012's disaster they still won 7 games.
 
Many of you are showing your age. Alabama historically has the better brand. Some say ND, bc you fell for the independence of the school at its national nbc coverage. Hate to say, sec schools are better branded. Unfortunately!
 
Notre Dame and it's not really close. They're the only school with a truly national fanbase. Other schools have fans all around the nation, but they generally have ties to the school, region, etc. People are fans of Notre Dame for no reason other than that they're Notre Dame.
 
The fact that Notre Dame can command the kind of money and attention it does, without a conference, and without even being particularly good, shows it's clearly the best brand in cfb.
 
Notre Dame, hands down.

Kids don't pick USC because of the brand. Kids pick USC because of sunshine and pussy. Alabama might have the most "football capital" (a quasi-mashup of potential future success with current perceived strength) right now, but that will last only as long as Saban is there, and might even die off before it. ND can be a mediocre team in the top ten every season because Notre Dame. That's true brand recognition.
