First play vs BC

Addazio will run an Iso play for three yards.

CPJ always defers and the OP didn't say which team's first play.
 
It sounds like BC coaches respect the TO and made a big effort to prepare for this game. I wouldn't be surprised if CPJ called for a pass on the first play, just to make the BC players lose focus on their game plan.

The Eagles have had all summer to prepare for the triple option and have even spent time in scrimmages practicing for it. BC has legitimate top end speed at linebacker and in the secondary and when you match this was intelligence of the BC defense I think it equals them shutting down GT. Addazio will throw everything he has into this game to get off to a good start and take the heat off a little bit."

Sounds like this Hoff guy lives in a vacuum. Does he also not realize we've been spending all summer prepping for them? Does it mean nothing that our guys are equally hungry after a terrible 2015 season?

TBH I have no clue how we're a favorite in this game, feels more like a push if you ask me, but this is clearly written by someone who hasn't done their homework. Speed isn't enough (see: Missy State 2014).

By no means am I saying that we'll roll the Eagles but this guy's logic doesn't capture the whole picture.

3.5 points is almost a push. We truly don't know what the team will look like other than CPJ being happy for the first time in an offseason.

First of all, speed isn't enough. Size and speed are usually what it takes to slow us down, and I don't think they have an abnormally big defense. Second, does he think the BC defense is going to be "more intelligent" than our offense?
