GT # 1 in this new poll

Yep, reminds me of a power index. What have you done for me lately.

Georgia Tech is the best team in the nation this week, and Johnson will be waiting in the parking lot with a tire iron for you. When? Sometime in the next 12 years. You’ll never know exactly when, though. Good luck!

Beat me to it :)

that was a fun read.
though I will defend the 2012 Notre Dame team a little bit. They beat three teams that won or tied for first in their conference that year, including a win at Oklahoma, and beat 9 bowl teams, IIRC. They earned it.
But I still loathe Brian Kelly.

When Southern hired VanGorder, I got told he tried to stick with the option because he wanted to hire Jeff Monken as his OC, but Monken said no, and VanGorder had to make a late hire for OC.
BVG did say some unsavory things about the facilities, and I remember PJ as being quoted as "nobody seemed to mind when we were winning there" or WTTE.

ND was exposed by Bammer in 2012.

Notre Dame is perinially number one in one category; being overrated.

ööööers should have beat the mutts in '80.

Rudy was offsides.

Well crap, I didn't realize Spencer Hall wrote for things other than EDSBS. Guess I need to broaden my online CFB regular reading scope.

Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl
Bonagura:
Georgia Tech vs. USF

As always, I'm appalled by the over-simplicity of these bowl projections. How often do you see a rematch in a bowl game? Very seldom. How hard is it to look and see if there are basic reasons why a projected matchup might not make sense in terms of things like rematches and politics (e.g., Belk Bowl always takes a Carolina team)?

But what the heck, if the team continues to improve, it would be interesting to see how we matched up with USF again at the end of the year (but the "sometimes we suck in bowls" factor might work against us).

8. Georgia. 41-13 over Vanderbilt in another installment of “Let’s Beat Up On A School With Better Test Scores.
