Kerry Dixon II - New WR coach

Choice and now Dixon.

I like the age range, recruiting experience, NFL experience, and various systems exposure these guys have been exposed too.

Why is he an asshole? I don't know who he is, other than I'm guessing he is ramblinwreckreport? If he's such a thorn in the "insiders" sides, they can block him from their platforms and cut off his source, or rework their business model to make him less of an issue. If he's literally just an assholish personality though, well then ok.

I have no problem with him "leaking" the information, but he's profiting (I assume) from it by driving traffic to his own blog. If you're not in some of the GT facebook groups, he makes

Why is insider information a big deal for a WR coach hire? I don't get the need for someone to find out that information hours or days before anyone else.

I normally read about these hires, maybe look at the coach's background, and hope he is the right hire. I doubt I can rattle off the names of all our positional coaches now or if I will be able to in 6 months.

Some internet findings. Sounds like a good hire.

During his time at Florida, Dixon mentored two freshmen, Antonio Calloway in 2015 and Tyrie Cleveland in 2016, who recorded 100-yard receiving games, something which had been accomplished only one other time in Gator history. Calloway caught 35 passes for 678 yards as a freshman, and became the third-fastest player in UF history to reach 1,000 receiving yards (17 games). Also, six different Gators received multiple receiving touchdowns in a game in both 2015 and 2016. In 2016, Dixon was named a Top 25 recruiter by Rivals.

So if I followed a reporter around and stole his information and reported it myself in order to boost my own profile without ever creating any of my own sources, that would be cool? At a bare minimum it's a serious asshole move.

If he followed the reporter around and reported the same information, then there is no problem. If he simply read what was reported and echoed it out as ‘sources’ that is plagiarism and there is a legal remedy.

Not so sure about that

I suppose it depends on how they retweet the content. Word for word would make it easy to sue. Probably the best route is small claims court if you have a contract when you sign up for the pay site.

You’re a loser if you’re paying to find out who the coaching staff hires are before everyone else.
It's like Urkel at a party. "I know who the assistant strength and conditioning coach is and you don't. Did I do that?"

All the while no one at the party gives a öööö.

Maybe. People that are hanging on this stuff are like the chain smokers of sports fans. Addictive personalities. I don't think they necessarily care about impressing someone else as much as they need to be satiated with novel info constantly.
