I really hope we start winning bigly August-January. The staff is doing a great job of re-branding and getting talent. UGA 2022 is shaping up to be a make or break moment for the program to reach a real level of success. Go Jackets!

make or break may be too harsh, what I was getting at was it could be the point where we pass them for a long time if we are victorious, based on current recruiting trajectories.

I appreciate the enthusiasm. I’m not so sure that I agree with the words that are coming out. I believe you’re setting yourself up for a bit of a let down.

Terrance Edwards dropped a pass in 2002 against Florida that would have probably won the game for the mutts had he caught it. Despite a very solid career with the mutts, some fans took out a billboard chastising him for the drop (IIRC, that billboard was on 78 or one of the roads leading into Athens). Another group of fans then took out a billboard in his hometown to thank him for his career but more people remember the first billboard than the second one...because the negative one got much more attention than the 2nd one.

This article references the drop and the positive billboard but conveniently leaves out mention of the first billboard.
