a simple "good game" and one pump handshake are all any coaches should be doing after the game. Meet each other on Oconee if you need more.
I have a coach you might really like. He does things the right way. Sometimes he doesn't even do a full pump. Hits 'em with the half.

I have no problem with emotion. Tears. Any of thatI don't get the big deal about Key crying. I LOVE that he's a man not afraid to show his emotions, and he is constantly showing that he really cares ... he cares about Tech, he cares about his players, he cares about the fans, and he doesn't take losses easily. I am proud of him.
I’d much rather have Geff getting plastered 50-0 than Key being emotional
Sarcasm maybe? I think soLoser
They wouldn’t be complimentary if they had lost. He would be hated. That should be the only goal. You would not believe how many UGA fans were complementary of Key and showed a lot of respect for him and our team. Said he's building something big at Tech. None of the gaggers near me when clown was coaching ever said that. Not a single one.

I only take issue when u do it slumping your head on your biggest rivals shoulder. Bad look. Too fragile looking.
This is a Rorschach for who’s put every fiber of their being into something and then had it all come crashing and crumbling down. You’ve either never had to put that sort of physical and emotional investment into something or had the breaks go your way so as to never experience that pain. Our identity is toughness and grittiness.
Tough gritty coaches don’t cry in the arms of the coach of our bitter rival. It looked submissive. Just a bad look.
I'm more worried about how we look on the field than during the post game handshake. And we looked plenty gritty on the field. Our identity is toughness and grittiness.

Can’t imagine saban or oleary with that look. Didn’t look great. This has nothing to do with key making progress. Or being upset. Just can recall saban crying on malzahns shoulders; or chiziks. Can u? Or the time cpj or oleary broke down on richts or donnans shoulders
Just saying.
Has done? There are plenty of coaches that have lost to ugag.Yeah crying in Kirby’s arms after losing in 8th OT was a bad look. But Brent Key is an emotional guy and as much as he hates uga he probably doesn’t hate Kirby like we do. They played against each other. They probably know each other. Better thing to do would have been to keep your tears until you get to the locker room but whatever. The guy has done what we haven’t been able to do against uga in a long time and the future is bright even if it sucks balls tonight.
It likely comes from them both being assholes.Whether some on here want to accept reality or not, CBK and CKS are friends off the field. They have known each other going back to their playing days and coached under Saban. Both definitely wear their emotions on their sleeve like other coaches (Dabo, Venebles, Harbaugh, etc). Not everyone reacts like a Saban or Belichick. Doesn’t take away their ability to coach. I’m not going to worry or criticize CBK for the postgame emotions. Who effin cares?
CBK has been on the job for a little over 2.5 years. In his 2nd recruiting class (pre-Portal) GT is sitting with a consensus Top 20 recruiting class, after last years #28-#30 class.
The ending last night certainly sucked (1997 game is what I compare it too from an emotions standpoint) but the arrow is pointing up.
There are some things CBK needs to do in order to get GT to that 9+ win regular season next year, and it starts today.
1. Finish the recruiting class. Ensure NSD goes as expected this week.
2. Keep as many impact players out of the Portal as possible. It starts with HK.
3. Keep CBF, CTS as the OC/DC combo through next year. There are numerous reports of other programs coming after CBF.
IF CBK can do all 3 above, that’s a step into towards a successful/breakout 2025 season. If GT hits on 2-2.5 above, it will hurt a little, but GT can overcome that. If GT loses HK, OC, DC…….That will be a tough Spring to catch back up.
I have confidence in CBK to keep the program going in the right direction.
