09 schedule

With only one bye week, it will come before the presumptive Thursday night game (we have chan to thank for that). If UNC is out due to their ECU game, my guess is the ACC will want FSU, MIA, or VT for that Thursday game and my money is on VT.

I believe we've always had that Thurs night game at home. If so, then out of that group VT would be the one, since they're the only team we play at home. Even so, I myself would like to play VT on a Thurs night on the flats. It would be spectacular to whip them like we did against Miami.

I would not be surprised if one or more ACC teams have 2 Thursday night games back to back.

Two did last season. VT had thurs at home with Maryland then Thurs at Miami. Miami has thurs at home with VT and Thurs at GT.

It certainly limits what you can do when you only have one bye week.

CPJ decided bye-week is for the weak, instead we are going to play the NFL all stars in our assigned bye-week.

This will also provide the needed strength of schedule and there will be no denying us from the championship game.

And no it's not speculation, it appeared on a square piece of pizza slice to me.

:laugher:

Wouldn't it be interesting to see our O run well by an NFL team against a good NFL D, just to see?

Where In The Hell Is The Schedule?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Where In The Hell Is The Schedule?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It'll be posted tomorrow at 11 AM.

Though, clearly it must be finalized at this point - why don't they release it as soon as it is finalized? Why the secrecy?

Building suspense is all I can think of.

This is just what I heard somewhere, but it seems that one school is still waiting on a response from another school, and they don't want to have any TBA's for any teams. Damn perfectionists being perfectionists in a football conference that has no clue what that football perfect would look like.

They are waiting for the thumbs up from Butch Davis and Woody Durham. Tarheels are analyzing the schedule from every angle before approving its release. They want to make sure that with their two Southern Conference opponents that they are not given too difficult a league game after their challenging non-conference schedule.

They are waiting on Florida State, Maine, and Syracuse to work out details of date and opponent swaps. Florida State was supposed to play Maine opening week, but ESPN wants Florida State - Miami for Labor Day night. They are trying to make a deal for Maine to play Syracuse instead, but it involves all three schools moving stuff around.

That sounds about right, I heard the delay was from waiting on a conference and for some reason my gut told me it was the Big East (or maybe the article said so and I forgot). Either way, the suspense is killing me. If we get both FSU and Miami early in the season (plausible cause they were late last season) and have an easy game like Miss St. in between would be nice.
