'At a signing ceremony she chose the Georgia Tech University* over many other schools. "I chose Tech because it's in my blood. I'll be the first in my generation to attend The I, following my grandfather (Physics research), Father (peanuts salesman, Beer Pong Champion), Mother (ChE), Aunt (cheerleader, Chem, I.E.), Uncle (I.E.), Aunt (IM), Uncle (MAT), Aunt (IM), Uncle (EE), Uncle (AE), and Aunt (EE). I chose ME because I heard the M/F ratio was like 20:1 according to some poster on the internet and because I want to do something different from the rest of my family."

'On a table at her signing ceremony were three hats, one each from Maryland, VPI and Boston College. The attendees booed when the hats were brought forward. Teammates were yelling "How can you NOT go to Georgia Tech. You're crazy and you've driven us crazy about that school. Your blood is as gold* as it gets."

'She removed the VPI and BC hats to polite applause from the local Maryland crowd and then stood and said "I always thought the hat thing was passe". She pulled off her jacket to display a worn Georgia Tech sweatshirt at which point bedlam broke out and great celebration was had by all.'

'Although currently unranked on Scout, she turned down numerous offers from over 10 programs. "Going to Tech was the most expensive option, it was an easy decision for me", she said. "I'm walking on at Tech."

Good deal! Alot of times the brain cells dry up from one generation to the next but I see they are still going strong in your family!

She's going to have a blast and get a darn good education along the way...
