10 dollar tickets for Samford

I think it's cool that we're doing promotions to fill empty seats. The $20 I just dropped on those is $20 the AD didn't have otherwise.

Kyle, stop complaining that we need a bigger stadium and that tickets shouldn't be so cheap. What's sad is that no one took advantage of making offers like this before. They'll probably make a lot more selling the remaining tickets for $10 apiece than if they sold a few of them for $40 apiece.

I too wish that we had more fans and that every game was sold out. But, the truth of the matter is that we don't and they're not, and it's high time someone made an effort to reach out to fans who aren't alumni.

Maybe we'll have more fans in the future if some people get a deal, come to the game, and decide they really like it. Folks without any particular interest aren't going to spend $160 to bring their family to a low profile game, but a lot of people will take a chance on $40.

Giving limited offer $10 tickets not to the general public is just like giving cheap movie tickets to students and the elderly. It's a way to sell most of your seats high, and fill the gaps with people who can't afford the higher prices. It's smart business. We need more smart business in the GTAA.

Buy 20 tickets and give them to anyone wearing white and gold.

Do you actually read what I post?

Did I ever say we NEEDED a bigger stadium? No. I simply posed expansion as a hypothetical question.

Did I ever say tickets shouldn't be so cheap? No. I understand why they are cheap and it's better to sell them cheap than for them to go unsold. I just think it is sad that we can't sell out 7 home games.

You really need to start listening and stop assuming.

Is there a better way to lure in new fans?
I used to buy $2 tickets in the South Stands in the late 70's. I always buy a couple of Family packs in the North Stands. Got too used to watching the game from the End Zone, seeing the lanes open up, beats sitting on the 50. Plus there is more room.
Remember an Empty seat won't buy anything from the concession stand.

I actually did read what you posted, and I think that I made a safe assumption based on your post. I'm not an insider by any means, but your question and statement made me think that you don't understand why we don't expand and why tickets are so cheap.

If that was a totally incorrect assumption, I apologize for misrepresenting you. No hard feelings, just giving my $0.02.
