10 win for 12 million

We should pay:

$2M per year base.
$1M for making a Bowl
$500K for winning the Coastal
$500K for winning the ACC
$1M for playing in a playoff game
$1M for winning the Natty
-$1M for 3 wins or fewer

Find a young up and coming coach willing to take the contract. If they don’t work out after 3 years we move on. If they kill it here and move on to a bigger program we find the next coach and our program will be in a good spot (winning and no buy out).

No more long term contracts and no more buyouts.

If only.

Jamey Chadwell at Coastal Carolina has a similar contract (less lucrative).

CPJ would have loved this. We might have even got more out of him.

I don't believe "no good coach would ever take this". The only coaches who wouldn't take it are the BAD ones.

I thought cpjs contract actually had these incentives in it, uga win should 100% be in there

Considering he is currently guaranteed 21 mil, he’ll be looking at 2Mil+ per win if fired this week.

That’s actually not enough money to be competitive.

And then get ready to lose to Ga State in addition to, Citadel, NIU, Temple, UCF, Ga Southern then pays us a Million to play them in Statesboro, Not Good..... Or Is It?

That's your issue, not his.
Agree. It’s my issue. I was unfortunately never good enough to even play this game at P5, let alone coach it. Geoff is better than I would be for sure.
But dammit, Chan Gailey would have won today. He’s still be winning 7-8 games a year. He knows football!

Bill Lewis had 11 wins when we fired him. Collins probably won’t match that.

Great deal for Collins.

We should go to the best coaches in America and say, "Tech pays football coaches over a million dollars per win. How does that sound to you." (By the way, when you add in the buy out, he'll end up getting over two million dollars per win. If we pay a bad coach two million dollars per win, couldn't we pay a good coach one million dollars per win?)
