I'll even go a step further and say I think he's probably the best program manager out there. Bama football seems to be very business-like and even seems to avoid a lot of the trouble that plagues many other SEC schools. His players are well-coached and don't make stupid mistakes in games, either.If that were true, he'd be a Superbowl champ in Miami.
The one time he had no talent advantage, in the NFL, he flopped like a dead fish. Saban is the best recruiting coach in the business, and at the college level, where you have to replace your roster every 4 years, that's the #1 ticket to a dynasty. But he is no master playcaller.
However, you've got to be creative to overcome talent deficiency. I've never seen that from Saban.
