Missed seven straight games due to an injured knee suffered at Boston College (Sept. 6)... returned from nearly a two-month layoff to play at North Carolina (Nov. 8)... played well off the bench in the Boston College game with two solo tackles and three total tackles... had three solo tackles vs. Jacksonville State (Aug. 28)... a relative newcomer to defense, Frierson was a back-up at cornerback... also played on a number of special teams... has potential to be a very solid defensive back after moving over from wide receiver prior to the 2007 season... originally made the move in December of 2006 during Tech's bowl practices... made one of the key plays in the April 19 T-Day Game when he intercepted a pass... also had a tackle-for-loss in that game.
