13

Seems to me the bar is moving negatively. Only 13 8 game seasons doesn't matter. What matters is that it hasn't happened lately....at all.

Having an argument about when the next 10 win season, or the next ACC championship happens is a much different discussion than when the next bowl eligible season occurs. Please I beg for those debates again.

All we have now is the gold standard thread and the golf team is looking promising.

Gailey had the talent and usually a good defense to have won 8-9 games most of his years on The Flats. He was just to darn conservative on offense. The 2006 UGA game about drove me to drink, especially on 4th and 6 inches and UGA had no answer for Choice that night and Gailey kicks a FG.
That was one of the worst losses to Uga I've experienced. We were so much better than them that year.

I still think we should shoot for those 10 win seasons and not sale ourselves short.

While we’re reminiscing some people suggest Dodd’s 7 win seasons in the 1960’s was mediocre but they only played 10 games. In a 12 game schedule that would equate to 8 wins and in a 13 game schedule 9 wins. I guess that was mediocre by Dodd’s standards.
I’d like 8 team conferences, a 10 game regular season, and a large playoff field (16 minimum, possibly 32), but that’s a pipe dream of mine. Early round playoff games during Christmas season where the winner advances, there’s upset potential, and dark horses emerge would generate much bigger audience than meaningless exhibition games between also rans. I hate the super conference arms race and the beauty pageant playoff field. (end rant)

Yep … I was at the game and in the 2nd half we were pounding them with Tashard Choice. When Gaily sent the FG unit in Tashard threw a fit … he couldn’t believe it.

Wait… you weren’t drinking?

I always thought Lewis would be our worst coach in my lifetime. Collins is way past Lewis at this point. Saturday is another must win game. After Saturday, six of the nine remaining games are on the road.

Sir, we have a top 5 volleyball program going this year.
