That is Louisville’s offensive output thus far. Our defense managed to do just as well as something called Indiana State. As bad as the defense has been in years before, we have never been this inept (that I can remember). Couple that with the inconsistent offense and we are a sub tier P5 team. I’d like to feel good about this win but let’s just call it like it is - Lousville is trash.

There were some lapses that we wouldnt get away with against better teams, but there were some big plays, too. I see some progress.

FIRE PAUL JOHNSON!!! WE WON WHEN WE WERE SUPPOSED TO WIN! HIRE SOMEBODY ELSE!!

The defense concerns me, especially against quick passes (we never seem to cover closely or try to jump routes).

But inconsistent offense? Come on man/woman. We are like 17/18 scoring in our last two games. We put up gaudy numbers against USF. Except for against Clemson's NFL DL and half of the Pitt game (1/12 halves we've played), our offense has been consistently really good

No one else is lighting up Clemson

We just put up 10 scores on 9 drives and somebody is complaining about the offense? That was probably the best offensive game by any team in the last decade.

doesn't matter. we need a pro style offense for the recruits. we'll never be elite with this high school offense. I don't care if we score on every possession for the next two years. FIRE PAUL JOHNSON AND GET A PRO STYLE OFFENSE ON THE FLATS. öööö THIS SHIT. I AM TIRED OF WINNING BY JUST RUNNING THE BALL. IT IS BORING.

Louisville had almost 500 yards of offense.. if you flipped the turnover margin around we lose that game.. but we didn't turn the ball over so much kudos to the offense

Dude, we dominated them. A lot of their yards were in garbage time. Now öööö off

They got 60 yards in 20 seconds right before half time.. I wouldn't call that garbage time.. I think our defense is improved and I like what I see but let's not act like there's not room for improvement.. ul is literally the last place team in fbs for turnovers

Our offense was carving them up so fast, it gave Louisville a lot of possessions. Until the fourth quarter, I kept hoping for an 8 minute death march to use up clock. It's frustrating that we have to be nervous about a 3-score lead in the second half, knowing that the opponent just needs a turnover or a stop to mount a comeback. That's been a characteristic of CPJ's better teams, though. Too much offensive efficiency opens the door to more possessions.

Our defense is really close. I think it's a combo of hangover from the Roof days and some poor position coaching that lacks in some fundamentals. We just seem to have streaks of plays where one or two players miss assignments on every play, but when they're all on the same page it looks really exciting.

Agreed. The defense is getting there. This type of transition takes time, sometimes a whole season. I'll be patient.

It was awful that they let the receiver get behind the secondary in that situation - no way in hell they should've gotten into FG range - we should've been playing Roof prevent D there.

But the D was on the field a bunch and lots of the yardage was against reserves. This Saturday will tell us a lot.
