Our defense is really close. I think it's a combo of hangover from the Roof days and some poor position coaching that lacks in some fundamentals. We just seem to have streaks of plays where one or two players miss assignments on every play, but when they're all on the same page it looks really exciting.

I think one of the big positives as of this moment is that there really is room for improvement on D, yet look at all the turnovers we are getting.

And they general vibe is that our D guys seem to be flying around more than before.

While we didn’t get home as much as I’d like, the QB didn’t get to just hangout in the pocket and wait for plays to develop like we have seen so frequently in the past (and like we saw in garbage time with the backups in) . He was forced to make more than a few decisions on our timeline and move around. If this is only the beginning, I like where we are going.

Carpenter trying to jump a deep out that ended up being a corner route was a poor decision and Kerr’s piteous attempt at an ankle tackle after the game was in hand was poor too. That’s 14 easy points that is fixable

You’ve been listening to someone :naughty:

We have created 14 turnovers in 6 games which #1 in the country going into the weekend. ASA is making a case All ACC and being day 2-3 draft pick. His game has improved every week. We are making a lot of mistakes in the secondary hopefully it improves, but we are a lot better on defense especially at DL

Actually we only rushed 3 quite a bit and their QB had plenty of time. Their first TD or second was a case in point there. The one where he threw to the left over the top.

We weren’t great on D last night. But we didn’t have to be
If the D can get a couple of stops and a turnover or two, the way the O is going and will go, it will be enough

We've heard that way too often throughout the past 11 years. O can't be perfect forever, so D needs to improve. Hopefully Woody is the guy to make that happen.
