BeeBad, I will tell you the realistics of possibly depending on the freshmen.
If a coach knows some players quit on him because they did not like him, wanted to get rid of him, and did not give their best, they now have only two options.
There are now two recruiting classes available to replace those not loyal to the coach and the team. There are the sophomores and new freshmen to blend in with remaining players that are willing to give it their all.
A player now has only two options, get with the program and give it their best, or the freshmen, sophomores, and loyal players will be on the field. The others will be on the bench.
If there are any dissatisfied Juniors, they will probably transfer. If there are any dissatisfied Seniors, they will stay around and get their degrees, but will be gone at the end of the year.
I expect most of the players will be on the same page this year, and we will not have any team wide attitude problems.
Even if there are a few remaining that do not like Gailey from the Junior and Senior classes, I feel sure they like Nix on the offensive side of the ball. I do not know how the players interact on the defensive side of the ball with Tenuta, but I am willing to bet, they like Spencer.
I feel there will be much more unity with this team than last year's team. If Gailey makes it through this year, next year's team will probably be solid in its common goals.
If the football team has a good year, the tutoring process has no further problems, Hewitt has a good year, and Joseph has a good year, I believe the big money alumni will ease off their offer to buy out Braine.
I would suspect they would like to hold their money in reserve if possible. It seems reasonable to me if I were in there shoes.
If things turn sour, look for the big money alumni to open up the wallets.
