Last year we were 119th in yards per punt vs FBS teams. The confusing thing is, there were only 9 teams in the nation that punted fewer times than we did. Our FBS opponents punted 52 times to our 45.

I wonder how many games we would have won with an additional 12 yards on our average. The #1 punting team (Utah) averaged 47 yards per punt, which is right around where this guy is.

Good news! A good punter and decent D can take a team a long way.

And so can an OL that can block.
