How do you see the schedule shaking out now?
Bowing Green
Miami 41, Temple 7
NCSU 24, UVA 21
FSU 31, Clemson 24 (OT)
UNC 41, Pitt 24
Syracuse 29, Army 16
Louisville 56, Boston College 21
UGAg
 
FWIW, GT moved up 22 spots in the Massey Ratings to number 67. Still behind programs like WFU (10 slots), GA State, SMU, Memphis, Texas Tech, Wyoming, Cal, JMU, etc. That's the nature of these type ratings. Just a reminder that there's a lot of work still to do, and how far down we fell.
 
At this point, I feel pretty good about 5 wins. 6 wins requires not blowing any games we "should" win. That's hard for me to imagine right now. 7 wins means doing that plus knocking off a ranked opponent. Winning the four (BG, BC, UVA, and Cuse) is no better than 50/50, IMPO, and doing that *plus* beating one of UNC, UM or CU is less than 20%. Beating UGAg is almost undoable at this point.

Syracuse has beaten Colgate, W Mich, Purdue, and Army. Purdue is 1-3, having only squeaked by a very bad VPI team. We were beating Louisville and were within 1 score of Ole Miss in the 4th before dropping those two. Both are top 25 teams.

I think we're better than those four teams (BG, BC, UVA, and Cuse), but whether we can run that table remains to be seen. Finishing at 6-6 and a measly bowl would be a successful season, IMPO. Kind of like 1997 all over again.

Sagarin Predictor has us at #73 slightly ahead of Wake Forest at #78 and Georgia State at #81.

 
Georgia State continues to impress as does most of the Sun Belt. I think it’s contributing to the malaise of the VA schools (JMU, App St, Marshall, Coastal, ODU all strong teams and playing FBS now). We need to get to a better place conference wise to access more funding for players.

The Falcons were within one score of Michigan at halftime. Sloppy game with combined 7 turnovers.
 
I have absolutely no idea what to expect when the Jackets host BC in two weeks. We might crap in the bed or blow them out … who knows. So I’m going to take it that we turned the corner last night and win the 3 games we should and knock off at least one or two of the three that we’ll be definite underdogs. So …. You think that is getting a little carried away, uh?

maybe, but you have 2 weeks to not be wrong so go for it
