Half way through, 3-3. Can we finish 3-3?
Beat BC and UVA, and lose close to UNC, and we’ll be sitting at 5-4. Our metrics might look a bit different at that point. I think we have at least a punchers chance in every game left this season.ESPN FPI ratings: https://www.espn.com/college-football/fpi/_/group/1
GT 2.1 which is higher than BC and UVA but behind Syracuse, Clemson, UNC and uga.
That's what I was thinking. A lot of randomness to the games and therefore to these stats. The FPI does take into account more than the W/L (e.g. scoring efficiency etc.) but at the end of the day the stats depend on random results.Beat BC and UVA, and lose close to UNC, and we’ll be sitting at 5-4. BC is in two weeks, but it is the next game.Sitting 3-3 (2-1) right now is fine. Many of us felt that we should have beaten Louisville, and we certainly could have. However, given their 6-0 start I can now live with that loss.
We sort of inverted a BG win and U loss, and in the process are sitting 2-1 in conference play rather than 1-2. Next week vs BC can’t get here soon enough as, although both sides of the ball have issues that need addressed, hopefully this team is learning how to win.
