I know these are about calls but I'm just curious about these 2 calls:

1) The first down with the nose not at the marker? (1st quarter)

2) On the punt return, did the defender not lead with his helmet (on Sylvester)?
 
didn't see the first one, so I cannot comment

punt return - looked good to me on the original and the umpteen replays (including one I just saw post-game). Vicious, but apparently legal hit. Reminded me of a young man named Johnson from a couple of years ago. I was just glad Syl got up after that one.
 
Not sure about the 2nd one but I had the same question about #1.

Does it have to reach the stick or the last chain link? I always thought it was the stick and it wasn't even close to the stick.
 
i am totally lost on the first down thing. i thought it was obviously short then they gave it to him and i was like wtf?

dont recall the punt return youre talking about. i was probably consuming large amnts of alcohol by then.
 
First one was just screwed up, pretty bad. Second one, you'll never see a helmet-to-helmet call if it's not a QB. Just the way it is.

STFU it's not like he's saying it was a game changer. It's not like we all know the NCAA rulebook like we know Tech's starting lineup so sometimes one of us sees the refs do something and genuinely doesn't understand what the **** those geese just did.
