Don't you know? VThug is the very definition of class.:hugelaugh: :hugelaugh: :hugelaugh:

As a proud Hokie, I have to say that sucks. I believe that most of our players are good kids who play hard. It sucks that the actions of a few have to ruin it for them all.

I do hope that more details come out about Morgan's and Ellis' actions Saturday night. I think that their actions will end up being nothing worse than that of those of stupid college kids, but that's just me speculating with my Orange & Maroon glasses on.

I am glad that Beamer immediately suspended them for Saturday's game. It's the right course of action at this time - suspend them for one game and take more action after the game, if needed, when the details are revealed.

As for the effect their absense will have on the game, I think it will be more mental than anything. We are fairly deep at DE, and Ellis hasn't really produced as expected yet this year. We're incredibly deep at WR, so Morgan's absense won't really be felt on offense. However, Morgan has blocked two kicks this year, so we will miss him on 4th down.

Anyways, I'm replying here to give you my perspective, not get into a flame war.

Kiss of death. We're ranked and they've suspended players. This is exactly where disaster strikes.

Please see the remarks about Cognitive Bias in the other thread.

Well maybe...

What's our record vs teams with suspended players?

The problem is "a few have to ruin it" happens year in and year out for the Hokies. The most notable has been Marcus Vick, who is still in the news for his constant actions. Beamer may want to start reviewing criminal records before recruiting some of these guys - I think that's legal since they're applying for college.

It's not the whole team, but the one's who stand out are giving the school a couple of black eyes. In fact, I think they've moved on to breaking limbs now.

If they started doing that, they wouldn't sign anyone! Character and discipline are two things that are meaningless to VThug.
