If his girlfriend went to FIU or if FIU had a WhatABurger in the Student Center or about a zillion other reasons that never occur to anybody from Tech since the prevailing notion among the Tech faithful is that any recruit with an offer from us either signs with us because of our outstanding academics or chooses not to sign with us because of our outstanding academics.

I wonder if we have a list for reasons people go somewhere else. If there's something the alumni can do, we should be made aware so we can fix it.

Malloy had offers from Cornell, Dartmouth and Yale. His P5 offers in addition to us were Northwestern and Indiana. I think we got a good SA here.

I believe that comment was in reference to GT Academics, not athletics, on-campus food locations, or SA-only indoor waterparks.
