Duke: Duke is well... Duke but they should be more competitive.
GT: Learning they new system will take some time plus we gotta find a qb, some LB's, and a secondary.
Miami: gotta find a qb plus Pat Nix is still there... I expect them to be worser than last year.
UNC: Davis is a good coach but I still think they are a few years away from being good...
UVA: Long is gone and so is a few key players that would've been key for UVA but aren't enrolled in school like QB Jameel Sewell and DE Fitzgerald
VT: they lost ALOT on defense but their offense should be better...

Bottom line: there are NO clear favorites for the ACC Coastal but I think the top 2 will be between VT and GT...

What you think?

UNC played a lot of young guys last year. They will be better this year. Otherwise, I agree that the division is completely up for grabs. However, historically that means VPI will win it because they are the one program that has proven itself year in and year out.

I see it being one of four - VPI, UNC, Miami, and GT. I know that's not going out on a limb, but...it's the best I got.

If I had to put money on it, it'd be between UNC and VPI. Although, if we can get the offense clicking, I think we'll be the favorite. Only problem is that we play BC and VPI very early in the season.

That's what we should come to expect.

No one we can't beat. Only 1 or 2 we can't lose to, if that many.

The days of the dominant team in a conference surrounded by a bunch of pygmies is over.

i know there's a lot in the air for us, but I really like the fact we catch both BC and VT early. BC will be starting from scratch on O and VT will have replace a TON of seniors (good number of high rounders).

If we can some how, some way, get some things going on offense early in the year, we'll be way ahead of the game, and should at least split those 2.

The problem is they are probably saying the same thing about getting to play us early.

Ya, this is true. I just feel that getting them early plays to our favor. Have really nothing to base that on though. I'll have a better feel for things after spring practice.

I'm still not sold on UNC for next year. They showed some good things last year, and they played a lot of young guys, but I just don't think they can make a run at the division. I think they finish fourth at best.

UNC wil finish in the top 3 of the Coastal. This ain't Bunting's team anymore; Davis will have those guys competing.
