I was the one who took that uniform picture on my phone, I can get more pircture of stuff like that on my site.
 
Tis true that not much more will matter if we win, but these unis sound like a COPY of the latest trend. Nothing original, nor inspiring.

Nothing wrong with the players having a big input but the fans, coaches, AD and former Wreckers should have some as well.

20, hell maybe 10, years from now, Auburn, Texas, ND, USC, and others will still be wearing unis that look good and are popular.

The teams wearing evening gown striped jersies will be asking themselves "what the hell were we thinking?"
 
How much change in uniforms have Tennessee, LSU, Bama, Auburn, Texas, USC, UCLA, Michigan, Ohio State, Pen State, Oklahoma, Nebraska had over the years? How many recent championships have been won by these schools? How much have their traditional uniforms adversely affected their recruiting?

Tech's traditional uniform is the gold helmet, white jersey, gold helmet look. The recent rule on home wearing the colored jersey has caused us to have the gold home jersey. But, I think the best college programs build and keep tradition. What I see of the new uniform looks terrible, particularly the blue.

If keeping the players happy is the whole point, perhaps they would rather enter the field to contemporary music playing over the sound system. We could always ditch the old car and old drinking song played by a marching band if that would make the team happy.
 
This talk of new uniforms is disappointing. Virginia Tech beats us badly last year. Does that mean we have to copy their goofy looking uniforms? That's like saying VT is our daddy.
I for one, hope we stick with our traditional uniforms.
 
When the players start winning consistently and convincingly,and contributing the sums of money like many of us do to pay for their educations then they can make the uniform calls. I think the new unis-to-be kinda suck!
 
Oh God, here we go again. It's a freakin' uniform! Let it go!

How about this. Our "tradition" is basically mediocrity. How about we start a new one with a new look?

If you're seriously going to dump Tech because of a uniform change, you need to just go man. This 50 year old grad thinks that may be the saddest thing I've heard in quite a while.
 
I have never heard before that we can get rid of a tradition of mediocrity by changing unis.

:wow: Think of all the time wasted on trying the other things.

The only way we are going to change things is to beat ugag. Some can not accept that.

The uni is not the most important thing, I just hate to see Georgia Tech in a clown outfit.

We have the greatest logo in college athletics and we do not seem to capitalize on it. That is just for starters.

i wish all these idiots that come up with the most retarded reasons to keep uniforms would shut up... like demjackets said it was time for a change. i personally think the blue looks great and would pump up the players for special games... i mean look at the mutts when they broke out the black... stuff like that gives 18-22 year old boys a little extra motivation, which is what we have lacked for the past 6 years

Way to totally take a comment out of context!!!

I agree we have the greatest logo in college athletics, the interlocking GT is recognized everywhere. But everyone also thinks our colors are gold, white and blue, so why not capitalize on that?
 
Not talking about colors, I am talking about clown unis.

The new ones might look good, but I would venture they won't stand the test of time.
