And crazy that we're one of FIVE ACC teams w/ new uniforms this year.

Duke's look nice. Very classic.

Not a big fan of UNC's. And NC St.'s are sooo boring. I liked theirs, even though they were the Falcons' uniforms. Literally.

I like VT's. Unique, and I think it works.

Agreed, but it's kinda hard to do much with just red and white. I loved their unis during the Mike O'Cain era. Plain red jerseys w/ no stripes; plain white pants w/ no stripes; white helmet w/ the pointed "NSC" logo:

Tech seems to be one of Russell's few remaining Div I football contracts. Everyone else has switched to Nike or Under Armour. We should have their balls in a vice... if I'm a member of the equipment staff, I'm not going to be taking orders by Russell's sales guys :laugher:

Whether Tech was pressured to switch uniforms or we did it on our accord, it's a shame. I'll give this crap three seasons, but I predict we'll be wearing more tradition jerseys/pants in 2011.
 
I find it REALLY hilarious that the guys they chose to model the new VT jeresys are the very same three who were "missing" theirs during the game against us last year.

I see the Vandy logo now...missed it on quick glance before. I still don't like them.

Those UNLV unis are horrible. I don't like VT's...but mostly because of their colors.

I am sorry but every time I go to a GT board and see that there's been another post on a UNI thread, I just about puke.

Do you guys posting about this not realize how gay you appear? Maybe you are gay and I should just be more sensitive to our diverse fan base.

Sorry if I have offended.

And no, I haven't read this thread - just went straight to the end and posted....so no one can say "if you don't like it, don't read it".

I just think it's just sad that it keeps getting bumped up to the top of the board - embarrassing even. Of course, now I've just bumped it up, too, but this should be the last one, right?

I find it funny when someone pops into a uniform thread that has nothing to do with Tech uniforms, doesn't read the thread at all, and criticizes the posters in the thread for talking too much about Tech uniforms. Way to hang a "kick me" sign on your back, there buddy.

Aren't we the target market for these uniforms, since we are the ones who will be buying the replicas? You somehow associate the target market discussing the product that is being designed with them in mind is gay? When video game enthusiasts discuss the new Madden features, do you immediately think of homosexuality? When two music fans are discussing a recently announced track list for a new hits collection, do you see nothing but hot man-on-man action? Maybe it's you who has a problem(not that there's anything wrong with that).
 
Call me a loser or gay or whatever, but sports uniforms actually interest me...not in a fashion-y way, but more of an interest about graphic design and logos and marketing type stuff. There is an ESPN columnist that writes a blog called UniWatch everyday that is really quite interesting to read. I would much rather concern myself with anything sports related than watching for the new video game trailers to come out or wasting my time pretending to be an elf and playing WoW.

I can totally understand it! We had a kickball throw down against Emory this summer with work and I bought a set of stirrups just for the game. Haha!

Agreed, Uniwatch is awesome, and as a graphic designer, anything design-related interests me, and anything sports AND design-related interests me a ton.
