Welcome to Week 4 of the BTC (Butthurt Trading Contest) Market. If you don't know what this is, check out the rules thread here:

Opponent: Clemson
Point Spread: Clemson -10

The Opening Price for Butthurt this week is $101. This comes from the Week 3 closing price of $150, adjusted downward by 32.5% due to the win, and a 20% downward Butthurt adjustment made due to GT crushing the point spread. The Butthurt bank is now at 30%.

I would be remiss if I didn't point out that I am crushing the rest of you all with a 9% increase in portfolio value (thanks @ThisIsAtlanta!). Minimal trading volume is expected this week with the challenge ahead, but the optimistic Butthurt trader might be willing to sell off this week ahead of a big GT victory!

The bank accumulates after each win, and kicks in to further increase the value of Butthurt after a loss. So a Clemson loss would increase the share price by an additional 30%.

The current price is $101. The most swing that is allowed in a transaction is 10% above the last transaction price, so the maximum price would be $111.

When we beat Clemson, the price will drop by 45%. 25% for beating a team with a probability of <0.5 and an additional 20% for beating the spread.
 
Still not sure why I'm not listed on the spread sheet. I created the butthurt market and was its kingpin throughout the Gailey years and half of the PJ years. You can't think of Butthurt, without thinking of me.

ööööing amateur. You are seriously screwing this whole thing up. It is very possible for GT to lose a game AND the value of butthurt decrease. An example of this would be 2014 ACC CG.

Just because you were happy with a loss doesn't mean that the rest of us were.

You can start your own trading platform. We'll play it. Coit is doing this because nobody else pulled the trigger on it. I'm sure it can be improved over time. Think of this as a beta version.

See... you don't understand the basic concept of Butthurt so how can we expect you to run this shit? Being unhappy that we lost a game is not butthurt. Being unhappy with a loss, recruiting, a hire, etc. because you believe our team and/or coach(es) and/or school suck, sucked or are sucking IS BUTTHURT. Get off the stage amateur.
