Welcome to Week 5 of the BTC (Butthurt Trading Contest) Market. If you don't know what this is, check out the rules thread here:

The Opening Price for Butthurt this week is $177. This comes from the Week 4 closing price of $101, adjusted upward by 25% due to the loss, a 20% upward Butthurt adjustment made due to GT not beating the point spread and a 30% upward adjustment from the Butthurt bank. The Butthurt bank is now at 0%.

So, here's where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. Stingtalkers are clearly split into two camps, glass half full versus glass half (totally?) empty, as evidenced by the recent threads on the subject. If you think that the team will bounce back against Miami, now is a GREAT time to sell. If your butt is severely hurt, you are looking to buy as much as you can get your hands on.

Ok, I've entered this transaction, but @optionqb did not participate in the preseason voting so he has no money. I've allowed the transaction on margin, but he will be ineligible for the portfolio growth part of the contest.

(edit) how about 50 shares at $150?

I honestly kind of think we're gonna win, but I don't have any BH and can't play the game without it. Plus there's the reverse jinx thing. I told everyone I knew that GT would beat Clemson and now I look like a huge tool.

You can have any number of shares you like at $150. Go big.

We're definitely not going to beat Miami. Their offense is better than Clemson's, and it hardly matters whether their defense is worse on the whole, because they have the athletes to shoot the gaps on the line. 40-20 type game.
