but I'd guess we're in the bottom 10% of the P5 in sacks over that time
Well it is harder to get more sacks with less playsI thought we weren't good, but no way we're we bottom 10% bad. Then i looked it up:
2016 we were 110th, 117th in '15, and 101st in '14. To depressing to go back any father
Well it is harder to get more sacks with less plays
...settling for another 7-9 wins.
This. A better question would be sack rate. Someone with some spare time should take a look.
This is some great analysis, @gtrower. Will be key to finish out recruiting strong. Right now only DL commit is SDE Cortez Alston from Westminster. I hope to see staff go hard after Robert Porcher (decommitted from Nebraska about a month ago) - he will choose on NSD. Beyond him, I'm not sure what other targets we have (5* Aubrey Solomon is still out there, but he's likely factory bound).
Agree about rankings. Preseason rankings are essentially just five year moving averages providing a little snapshot of how your program did the past few years. If you're Alabama losing starters will be overlooked on the assumption that the replacements are just as good. If you're GT no way you get the benefit of that doubt. No way we're ranked. But if we can find a QB, could be a good year.
Porcher committed to VT today
You are obviously forgetting that we are playing Tennessee in week 1. There is huge incentive to overhype us.No way we're ranked. But if we can find a QB, could be a good year.
