For a guy who hates passing, CPJ called so many passing plays last year that we were all begging him to stop. See the game thread for the UVA game, in which we were 6 of 22 passing. I don't care about the number, but rather the percentage. TQ (or whoever) just needs to have more 6 of 11 type days.

I'm kind of surprised that after 10 years with this offense, we still have fans trivializing the play selection as "hates passing and loves running."

Well, if we recruited QBs that were passers that can run instead of wing-backs that can maybe "throw" then people wouldn't trivialize the play selection as "hates passing and loves running".

We recruit such QB's every year. We just don't land them. In fairness, Chan struggled to find or develop a >50% passer, too. Haven't had anyone sniff 60% since Godsey, I'm sure.

I'm hopeful that Graham will be the dual threat we need.

Tend to agree. With wins against UT and Miami last year, I think we have the momentum to carry us to a very good year.
Didn't we lose to Tennessee and Miami? Did I miss something? Clempsen, Georgia, Miami, Virginia Tech, Duke, Virginia. There's six losses right there. USF, North Carolina, and Louisville will be tough, too.

Virginia Tech and Louisville should scare no one next year and we aren't losing to Duke and UVA at home. If you're gonna go full big-cry, you may as well assume we lose to Pitt, too

We have 5th hardest schedule in 2018 according to Bleacher Report.

What I meant was that if we had beaten UT and Miami, we would have had the momentum to have a very good year LAST YEAR instead of the year we had.

.
Well, yeah. If we had won a few games that we lost, it would have been a better year, I suppose.

...we have a new DC and nowhere to go but up on Defense.

I'm not sure why people say this. Last year we did not have a good D, but it was not the worst defense we've had under Paul Johnson and we could definitely take a step back.

Remember 2009? It got the the point where we would just assume the other team we score on every possession and we were usually right.

I would love a return to 2009 if it means 10 wins!
