2022 Schedule

We trade Notre Dame for Ole Miss - I’ll take Ole Miss any day
We trade Boston College for FSU - FSU is trending upward so that is a little harder.
Clemson at MBS in 2022 is not as hard as Clemson in Death Valley in 2021.
UVA at home is much more winnable that UVA away.
Pitt loses all of their super seniors. Duke is Duke again
WCU - I don’t even know who that is.
UCF has already loss to Cincinnati (understandable), Navy, and Louisville this year. They are not good.
Miami/VT sure be about the same as every year.
UNC is trending down quickly.
UGA will be good, but they won’t be 2021 good.

I’m not predicting a high number of wins, but this is a schedule we SHOULD do well with.

I think we get on a roll, graduation & natural attrition culls the Locker Room of bad influences, we play together as a Team with the proper mental focus and discipline and sneak up on Clemson to open the season and then go on friggin' roll.

We go into the UGA Game next season undefeated, and in Playoff Contention.

This thread will be bumped many times next season

We will have three home games after 9/24! This schedule sucks and we may only win three again.
In retrospect, Tech should have eased out of the tough schedule the last three years and they should ease out of ole miss and ucf here. It is doing us no good going 3-9 every year.

Maybe NIU is available next year.

Should go 4-2 with the home schedule. Road wins at Va Tech, Central Florida, and UNC or FSU. No need to extend Year 0 another year by complaining about the hard schedule.

WCU should be Western Carolina, the only team we beat in 1994

Tough.
Gonna be tough for CGC to get his 3 wins next year - WCU is only sure one.

Pickett should be gone right? Same with Ole Miss QB.

UCF is not as good as they used to be. Neither is FSU or Clemson.

It's tough because we suck, but otherwise it's an ok schedule...

VT will have a new coach as well. I wouldn't count out Lane or Gus. I see 3-4 wins on there

Question is: Is the hardest schedule in the ACC a hard schedule? If we were playing this schedule with elite recruits and playing at a high level, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

This is why I’m not worried about the schedule. It only looks hard because we still suck. We’re getting better overall though - very slowly.

Hoping other teams are down is the strategy now? What about our team? If one is speculating, you also have to speculate on who on this roster hits the transfer portal. You have to speculate on what coaching changes will or won't be made. If you are judging by general trends, you have to figure almost everyone recruits better or at least even with us, aside from Duke and Western Carolina. We had our one shot at Clemson this year and blew it. Thinking Georgia is going to drop off rather than reload is a wish.

I remember after going 7-4 hearing Ken Swilling saying there was no team on our schedule we couldn't beat. We sure got a laugh out of that! It was hilarious!

I think no bowl in year 4 would get Collins fired.
No way. By giving him 7 years T Stan showed he didn’t believe years 1 and 2 counted. 4 wins is improvement next season. Bowl required starts in Year 5. We likely hit both metrics. Years 6 and 7 we’ll be 7-5 and super close to ACC CG. Maybe even play UGA tough. Everyone will be praising Collins for what he’s built here and anyone who knew GT’s ACC results under Johnson (very few people) will be looking around saying, “ Wut?”
