As long as the 3 loss team is from the SEC, and the undefeated team is from the ACC/B12, then yes. This is what the people want!

The narrative that is making me crazy is the "if you are in the SEC or B1G and make it to the title game, you are in the playoff. The committee won't penalize you for a loss in an extra game against a tough opponent." Previously it was lose in your conference championship game and you are likely out (meanwhile the second place team in your division gets in for not playing an extra game against a tougher opponent).

Yes. Asinine. There will be times when the loser of a close game in a conference champ game will deserve to be in. This won’t be that time.
