28 - 7...remember last year?

I am sticking to my sig...

With the way this forum is imploding after this loss, I can't imagine how bad it was around here during the Chan era. Sheesh.

It was pretty bad, although it got a lot better in late 2007, because by then everyone was on board with getting rid of CG.

I have not seen it stated anywhere as yet but I may have missed it. We just played 3 games in 12 days. Football at the level is brutal both physically and mentally. The team is not out of shape, they looked fatigued at the start. They have not been able to get into any kind of rhythm for the season yet. By that I mean games on Saturday with days off for rest. Typically after a Thursday game they have the next nine days before another game. Not this time! Miami last played on 9/7, that is 11 days to rest and prepare. Throw in the way we embarrassed them last season on you have a formula for what happened last night. I don't know who sets up a schedule like this but they should not make this mistake again! We have one if the youngest teams in the ACC and I believe they were just trying to survive this stretch. They learned a lot from this stretch of games. From this point on we play on Saturday and I believe we go on to have a great season. The Coastal Division is not lost yet. UM still has to play VT, Clemson, and UNC. They will stumble IMO. Stay up team, we have a lot ball to play still!

Great Post!

I'm not completely sold on this excuse, but I think it might be somewhat of a factor; if the team comes out like this again, however, then we will know we have a real problem.

All this talk about revenge and all that **** is pissing me off. Play football do what you brought here or there to do. I don't wanna here us start talking about revenge.

I'd like to think we don't need revenge as a motive to play 110%. I'd like to think we could play superbly without that. For now though, we need all the motivation we can get to step it up.

Next year is next year --but in about 358 days or so, we'll have motivation when the 'U' comes calling to BDS

I think that this excuse is complete BS. Normally, a team plays 3 games within 14 days. We played 3 within 12, one of the games being against Jax State. I don't think it should have impacted us as much as people are making it out.

Let me put it this way. I'm one of the more even-tempered posters but after 51-7, I was ready to burn the entire internet down.
