In addition to the TD, there is wide open first down over the middle, as both LBs cover the slot receiver.

Hell ya they do. Im a Tech guy but I'm also realistic. We need to acknowledge that the dwags recruit on a different level than us and then get better at it.

Factory vs Non-factory. The gaggers have always had their 'pick of the litter' so to speak in the state of Georgia. For someone to say otherwise is delusional at best. Their problem has always been what they do with them once they get 'em.

More heartbreak for Georgia, as the national title drought continues

ATLANTA -- On Alabama's first offensive play in overtime, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was sacked for a 16-yard loss by Georgia defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter and linebacker Davin Bellamy.

The Bulldogs led 23-20 in Monday night's College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T, and they looked as though they might be back on track to securing their first national title since 1980.
...
Georgia, after waiting 37 years since its last national championship, will have to wait at least another year. And this loss figures to hurt more than any other.

One of the rules of sportswriting is the first score you give is the final score. Where did this dreck come from?

I actually went and looked at UGAg's 2-deep. Around 65% are Richt recruits as well counting any commits pre-Kirby in the Richt column.

Wrong, the odds are against them. The cupboard is bare.

Forget UGA and their roster. Bama's leading passer, leading rusher, and leading receiver in the game last night are all freshmen.

I mean they had like 4 guys that were gonna be taken in the first 3 rounds decide to stay. Where does that ever happen? They're recruiting well but hard not to see them taking a step back.

When have they not recruited well? Even Donnan got plenty of top recruits to go there. But as Old Ball Coach said, "when they get there, something happens to them."

31 seniors is exactly why the Dwags won't be as good next year.

Fromm is better than I gave him credit for though. They won't drop off as much when the RBs depart. And for those of you that think Swift is as good as Michel, I would disagree completely.

I was saying all last season that Michel scared me more than Chubb - it became a little more obvious this year. Haven't seen as much of Swift, but nothing stood out to me in the plays I've seen.

I don't disagree that Swift/Herrien/Holyfield whoever they have back there will be good, but for them to believe that they will be as good or even almost as good running the ball next year is asinine. They are losing the most prolific RB duo in CFB history, replacing them with a sophomore and two juniors with roughly 250 carries total among all of them. They look good when they come in now because they are always fresh and/or come in later when it's trash time or defenses are already worn down.

They're also getting some 5 star RB (Zamir White?)

^^^^^ Zamir White blew out his knee in the North Carolina state playoffs - one year or so to heal.
