Dude, please. I've been watching Tech football since the '70's. Aside from 1990 and 1998, it's always been a huge dissapointment. We never can seal the deal. So call me quitter or whatever you want but our record in football speaks for itself. We haven't beaten UGA for 6 STRAIGHT YEARS for pete's sake!

Hey el crapo, I thought 85' was pretty damn good.

I hope you feel better by insulting me personally. It is obvious you are not tolerant of other people's opinions.

I did miss 1985. Ok, so 3 great seasons in the last 30 years. WOW!

If you are tired of disappointment on the football field you should switch to Ohio State or USC or some other football factory. I've been watching Tech since 1963 so I know a few things about disappointing football teams. Check our record since then and see if this year, despite two disappointing losses at the end of the season, doesn't stack up as one of our better efforts. And certainly beyond our expectations at the beginning of the season.

You are right about beyond expectations. My expectations were 8-5 because I didn't think we'd make the ACCCG. With Troy and Samford both on the schedule I figured us for an extra win over Chan's typical 7-6. Not a whole lot to celebrate if you ask me.

There's one thing good, if Braine was still here he would have given Chan another raise and extended his contract for 5 more years.

I'm sorry, but I thought the point of fielding a football team was to try and win EVERY game, not just merely have a "nice season". What progress has really been made with Gailey?

Let's face it we had a cupcake schedule. The only real team we beat all year was VT. Samford, Troy, Virginia, NC State, UNC, and Duke were all pushovers this year. Miami was a mediocre team and Maryland is probably the worst 8 win BCS team in the country.

The one thing we accomplished so far is to avoid an embarassing loss to a vastly inferior team (ie Fresno State, Duke, UNC, Utah, etc.....).

Actually, up until the NC State game, we had played the fourth hardest schedule in the country, or at least that's what I heard on TV.
