5 More Wins

play more freshmen!!!

Most of the mistakes I've seen on the field this year have come from upperclassmen. Virtually every frosh we've played has stepped up to the challenge. This should also help motivate the upperclassmen to perform better as well.

Win-Win-Win

The freshies haven't made mistakes b/c they haven't been playing much. I can think of a certain holding call by a freshman that really killed us and a dropped snap.

They are the only two that seem to have that nasty streak in them, I know they have had some holding penalties but at least they will knock your d&$^ in the dirt. Hopefully the other linemen will take notice.

As far as the receivers go, I say bench them until they start catching the ball, bring in the young'uns. Competition is a great motivator.

Dunmon had three killers against Maryland...but cleaned it up against Miami with only one. Rhodes is the one I cannot understand...a 5th year senior that makes penalties every game. My 7-yr old even complains about it! When does a 7-yr old ever know the name of an OL!!??!!

Next year Voss and Dunmon will be in there with Gardner and Smith on the bookends most likely...with Howard sliding inside to G. However, Yandell will be competing for playing time as well as I understand it.

The upperclassmen have made many more mistakes because they've played a whole lot more. I can think of numerous calls and plays that really hurt us and killed drives. :laugher:

They're freshmen and are going to make mistakes here and there, but this class, IMO, has much more upside than downside, and they have the talent to contribute more this year.
