Would like to hear everyone's 5 Pros and Cons, please.

Here's mine......

Positives

1. We did not fumble! What a difference 5 days makes, right?

2. Anthony Allen is a serious, serious weapon.

3. Tarrant. Finally, a PLAYMAKER at punt returner! Our prayers have been answered. :bowdown:

4. Scott Blair. Hopefully his performance last night will give him a big confidence boost. We need him to do well. duh

5. We NEVER EVER EVER have to face CJ Spiller & Jacoby Ford again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fingersx:

NEGATIVES

1. DEFENSIVE LINE! :mad: I really want to name names here but we got no pressure whatsoever! DMorgan is all we've got and MAYBE Egbuniwe.

2. Tarrant played w/ too much cushion (AGAIN) at times but came through when we needed him.

3. We played exactly like we played 5 days before. Only improvement was kicking game.

4. Passing Game was horrific.

5. :rolleyes: Passing Game was super horrific.

Disagree with this. Our defensive line was stout throughout much of the first half. They shut down CJ spiller's running game. Second half was a different story cause you can only do so much if your offense is 3-14 for 3rd down conversions.

I would replace that with SECONDARY.

CJ's reception TD was a blown coverage. I have no idea why Cooper was about 10 yards behind CJ for that TD reception and run. Once you are behind CJ, you ain't gonna catch him.

Jacoby's reception TD was because Morgan took a bad angle and literally (but inadvertently) got cut blocked by our own guy who missed a tackle.

Positive thing is that even though it was pretty much hopeless, Cooper still kept chasing them into the end zone instead of giving up.

The secondary and Wommack didn't account for Spiller and Jacoby's 6th gear, they aren't track stars cause they can run through the tackles.

I have to disagree with you on this one. When the d-line needed to step up they did. They had there problems, but Clemson has a tough experienced O-line. The D-line should be satisfied but strive for more.

D line looked very good in the first half. They were on the field alot and were worn down in the 3rd and 4th qtrs. The D stepped up at the end of the game when they had to. D Morgan is better than D Rich Walker or Johnson ever were.

Clemson's D line had alot to do with Nesbitt passing. Clemson has the best defense in the ACC. They will be in the ACC title game.

I disagree too. 1 on negatives should definitely be passing. 2 should be o-line blocking in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters.

I disagree with the defensive line. Hell we couldn't keep them off the field in 3rd quarter. Them boys are going to be tired today!

5 Positives:
1. Special Teams played the best game I can remember them playing in a long, long time.
2. Tarrant personally played very well on PR.
3. No fumbles.
4. Josh continues to run the ball well.
5. DL played well, IMO.

5 Negatives:
1. Passing game looked like Reggie Ball out there again.
2. OL still needs work (but that was perhaps the best DL we'll face... maybe except UNC).
3. We seemed to ditch the game plan and go to the pass too much.
4. Nesbit seems like he really doesn't want to keep as much as he needs to.
5. DB's too much cushion. Then again, Ford is a burner, and I'm sure they were trying to stay behind him.

Positives:

1) Resiliency from the whole team. I wrote us off mid-third quarter...it definitely showed something to be able to man up and take that game back.

2) Defensive unit as a whole, despite what GTKyle might say.

3) Scott Blair.

4) Tarrant the punt returner.

5) The CROWD. Wasn't the classic "wine and cheese" crowd last night, that's for sure.

Negatives

1) Offensive line. Just wasn't very good, guys were getting into the pocket all night, even on handoffs.

2) Nesbitt's passing. Not much to say about this except that it was terrible. The first play probably should've gone for six, not an INT.

3) Tarrant the corner. Disappointing.

4) Kickoffs. First one out of bounds, the rest weren't atrocious but nothing great. Needs to improve.

5) Blowing a 24 point lead. That really takes a team effort.

You guys REALLY thought our DT's played a good game?

I sincerely hope I am wrong here, but might I suggest to pay attention to our interior whenever y'all watch the replay. It wasn't pretty, imo.

I think Tarrant fair caught too many punts. There was a few times it looked like he could get a few yards on a return and waved his arms instead. Still, he scored a huge touchdown, and he didn't fumble or cause harm.

I agree, the defensive line did no worse than we could've asked them to. If they can't bring pressure on a QB with a decent OL on every play it doesn't mean they aren't good (and don't act like im implying you said that). Lets not forget that our defense was gassed after the first quarter and when you get tired like that early, short rests like what they got can only bring them back so much.

5 Positives:

1) We won;
2) Tarrant on Punt Returns;
3) Scott Blair gaining some confidence;
4) No fumbles;
5) We had poise after losing the lead (see negatives).

5 Negatives:

1) We lost our intensity and a huge lead;
2) OL missing blocks;
3) Very few blitzes - when we did, we were successful. Clem's qb would get rattled. I don't know why we didn't blitz more.
4) Passing game;
5) Getting beat deep.

5 Improvements from JSU:

Pass catching (though very slight)
Stopping the run (considering who it was)
Punting
Kicking
No fumbles

5 Setbacks from JSU:

Running the ball
Blocking
Passing
Stopping the pass
No TD's in the red zone

I liked his choices. Clemson might have the speed to close the distance before he gets a good hold on the ball the POP goes the football.

Some return yards would've helped the offense but a turnover would've ended the game.

I thought the DL played good against the run for most of the game, but they were getting pushed back off the ball in the 3Q and we have to have more of a pass rush, period. You give a good QB that much time and he will find someone open.

The DL was out there a lot and got tired. I thought they played pretty good.

I sincerely hope I am wrong here, but might I suggest to pay attention to our interior whenever y'all watch the replay. It wasn't pretty, imo.

In the first half, our d-line (and linebackers of course) limited CJ's rushing to 29 yards on 10 carries. Never gave up a single rushing TD.

On the other hand, how many passing TDs did our secondary give up?

While Allen is a serious threat to break away for a TD, he is also a liability blocking and really does not get good pitch relationship consistently either. With that said, he will get better as his comfort level rises.

Speaking of our DL....why were (was it Ben Anderson & Walls rotating?) those 2 lined up further away from the LOS than Bob Hall, DMorgan, and the rest of the guys?
