I’m not saying something that violated the NCAA rules happened in this particular case. But there is plenty of hearsay, some of which famously came from a high school coach in the Georgia area recently that UGA entices the best recruits in the country to sign with them using illegal tactics, money which is the most common.

I don’t blame UGA, Bama, Clemson, OSU for doing something they can get away with. The real blame falls on the NCAA who knows they do and lends a blind eye to it. The NCAA will take a unique interest in The Ole Miss if it embarrasses preseason NC favorite like UGA like it did a few years ago. But require the GeorgiaTech’s of CFB to remove an ACC banner that was fairly won over a silly T-shirt. Does anyone actually believe that could’ve possibly happened to the University of Alabama or Ohio state?

The NCAA is weak, and most importantly they are biased and simply do not do their job—-which is to ensure fairness in college sports. The factories play by a different set of rules than the Georgia Techs of college football.

The NCAA is terrified to initiate serious investigations of the factories because they know to do such would result in the factories forming their own organization to play by THEIR rules as they see fit.

I can only hope and I do believe that that will be the case in the next few years. The Super-SEC will break away from the NCAA and will become the official minor league NFL program. It it will be just like minor-league baseball. The Super-SEC players will receive signing bonuses and salaries to go to “college”.

And I actually hope that is the case. The vast majority of the “schools” who belong in the SEC exist only to support a football program. It’s time Georgia Tech and the rest of college football played COLLEGE football. I’m done with the current structure whose goals are 1. $ 2. More $ and 3. More $ in order of importance.
