Say that Miami is a national championship contender seriously. Mark Whipple is the real deal.

And here's the bomb. Ready? Tyrod Taylor is a STUD.

Your guys thoughts? Do you all think that Miami is a serious national contender? How about Tyrod Taylor being a stud?

Personally, Miami is not a national contender yet IMO. We have seen 2 games. God it's weird to think about, we have seen GT play 3 quick games and we have only seen Miami twice. That whole time thing really starts to look like bigger factor the further in the past it gets looking back on it. Strange.

Secondly, Tyrod Taylor is a LUCKY stud. He is by no means a stud. Sorry. What was it? 90/100 yards and -11 yards rushing at Nebraska...no way is that a stud. I am taking Nesbitt over Tyrod but not by much at this point.

Anywho, I think the guys have drank a keg full of orange and green kool-aide and a little too much TT.

Maybe if they are a national contender, we won't look so bad

I do wish we were in a different division though so we could rape them in the ACCCG if we do get there.

Miami has played the toughest schedule so far and is undefeated. They should be ranked #1. I think they would give Florida a run for its money, and Shannon is wanting some payback on Urban for that crap Urban pulled last year.

Well here's the thing. They have VT and OU the next two weeks. Get by those games and who will beat them?

Based on what I've seen thus far --Miami is a top 10 team. Check back in two weeks and we'll see if they've fallen back down to top 20 -25 status, or top five status.

So far Miami hasn't faced a pass rush. We'll see if it is because their OL is great or not. If the OL is the real deal, we'll have a tough time catching Miami in conference. But I can see a mid season swoon for them.

Hopefully, VT's defense keeps playing well and their O comes alive. Because the two best chances for Miami to lose in conference are VT and Clemson.

I wouldn't say TTaylor is a stud. But I would say that he is a winner. He knows how to win game, has the pocket presence to avoid being sacked, and wreaks havoc on defenses with his legs if nothing is open down field. He is a frustrating QB to play against. He won't be a great NFL QB because is isn't great at any one aspect of being a QB, he is just a winner. In a video game, I would make his clutch rating 99/100. Passing would be 70/100. Rushing would be 85/100.

If there's one thing I've learned through the years, its that the team that surprises everyone and is purported by the media to go all the way, will surely fall flat on their face in short order.

See: BYU 2009, East Carolina 2008, TCU 2007, etc.

After the next 2 weeks, you can add Miami to that list. Either VT or Oklahoma will embarass them bad.

You could be right but I don't think so.

+1

I personally think Miami will be 2-2 after the next two games.
