A Bit of Epic Fail for Your Day

Shouldn't that have been an illegal forward pass the second time?

Yep.....looked a lot like what Crenshaw did against FSU in 2000, while he was spelling Godsey (who was on the sideline getting stiches).

Cannot see the video, as I am at work -- but is this the Kansas State QB making 2nd pass? The original youtube vid with the slogan about "amazing happens" (paraphrasing from memory) was actually put up by a K-state fan, believe it or not.

If he did that illegal forward pass in the endzone (which it looked like he was close to) would it be a safety?

Good question. I believe so, because it was essentially intentional grounding. However, I am not completely sure about that rule. But I think he was definitely out of the endzone when he threw it...maybe the 1 yard line.

BuzzMD--Yes, it is. He throws one pass forward and it gets hit back to him. He catches it(for some reason) then runs around and throws it out of bounds.

Except Crenshaw's first pass wasn't actually forward if I remember correctly.

Are we thinking of the same play? I remember it being batted back at him by a defensive lineman; when he rolled out with it looking for a receiver again I started screaming NOOOO from the upper east. They definitely ruled it forward.

This is a level of fail similar to ....

spiking the ball on 3rd down and then throwing the ball out of bounds on 4th down against your biggest rival (instead of just tossing it up to Calvin twice). Oh, yeah, that didn't cost a coach a job so I guess its different.:pat:
