So far it's about 50/50. Not exactly uniting the fan base or getting big excitement if that holds.

Still holding at exactly 50/50. And you thought Chan had the fanbase divided. The more I consider the ramifications of him being hired, the less I like it. Sounds like it'll be exactly like Gailey .... there will be an element against him from the outset.

Macon feel confident in that Muschamp is easily one of the best defensive minds in the college game right now. #8 defense this year, #7 last year. #1 in 2003 at LSU and top ten every other year at LSU.

This guy coaches with passion and intensity. He's well respected in the coaching world, he recruits light out, and he's from the State. He is young and energetic, and this is exactly what we need.

I think Muschamp is a fine defensive coordinator. I have no idea if he will make a fine head coach. The Georgia thing doesn't bother me - he will recruit against them well when its a matter of his livelihood.
