Clemson was begging to be midlined to death last week and Miami setup its D for us to run it a few times today. I really hurts not being able to run it. I hope CPJ puts MJ in at some point just to run it. For better or worse.coach states can't run it b/c JT is too small....as great as JT is ... the absence of this play hurts PJ's offense
Your point????But JT5 had seen it all?

I don't get what you are asking. How was yesterday's defeat "humiliating", or last week's Clemson loss humiliating? It's not like we lost to Furman or something. Miami is going to be top 10 this week. Clemson is a legit national title contender.Humiliating defeat after humiliating defeat. Even in our own yard! Do you people not have any brains?
It's not that bad. Losing does suck. But the team did not lose in a humiliating fashion. Getting beat by good teams is part of sports. It's not like they lost 51-7.Humiliating defeat after humiliating defeat. Even in our own yard! Do you people not have any brains?
Exactly. The way 2nd quarter was going, the team could have easily quit and got blown out. They fought through it and made it a game. Miami is likely the 2nd best team we face this year to Clemson. It's not that bad. Losing does suck. But the team did not lose in a humiliating fashion. Getting beat by good teams is part of sports. Time for you to buy an Alabama jersey I am sad to say.Humiliating defeat after humiliating defeat. Even in our own yard! Do you people not have any brains?
JT looks great when we can keep him clean, but the offense falls off significantly as the quality of blocking goes down, and a lot of that is because JT is not a running threat in a physical game. He just isn't. He hasn't run for 100 in forever. A game like Saturday, you're in much better shape with a Nesbitt style QB. Nesbitt could grind out yards even behind an OL that was ill-suited for the task. We're not too far off.....i think we competed pretty well with Miami on both sides of the ball, 2 plays being the difference. That first fumble was like a replay of the infamous GIF.coach states can't run it b/c JT is too small....as great as JT is ... the absence of this play hurts PJ's offense
Too bad Byerly's eligibility coincided with JT's. Would have liked to have seen what TB could do over a full season.
I actually think Byerly would have played some this year, if only as a change of pace and opportunity for JT to rest. It's pretty obvious that JT is rattled and beat up at times. I'm not an idiot - I realize that JT is our best option (pun intended) and possibly the best 3O QB we've had, but it's not unreasonable to wonder how much better we'd be at executing death marches with a big QB who could get 2-3 more yards after contact than JT every time.Because we've been playing the 2nd best QB all along?
