ACC Championship game a sellout

Bigger flop: Tampa or Jax?

I say Jax.

That's because the teams that went to the ACCCG sucked for bringing fans. The ACC wanted to keep the game there, but Jax kicked 'em out, this is what I've been told by someone in Jax city gov.

Remember, FSU and Miami were supposed to rule the conference. That was a big reason for the selection in the first place. FSU, had they made it, would have guaranteed a sellout in Jax by themselves.

Jax did well in 2005 with FSU-VPI. The other 3 years, we have to remember it was a day game each time and involved Wake, BC (x2) and Georgia Tech after losing in Athens in 2006. I've been to that stadium in Jacksonville, it's fine, but Charlotte is better, and that is absolutely where it needs to stay.

It didn't help matters that the loser of the game in Jacksonville had to go back to watch their team play in the Gator Bowl...

That stadium will be ridiculously orange.

If we beat VPI go for the stub hub tickets first. Our allotment is sure to sell to GT fans, but we need to sprinkle as many as we can elsewhere.

And in the case of the Orange Bowl, they'll be far more expensive than the Orange Bowl itself is selling them for.

Part of the bowl's and CG's business model is to force participating schools to buy 10k of the worst seats for high prices. What are the schools going to do about it, not play? They'll always pony up the cash for the forced ticket sales and many times not sell the whole allotment.

Same for student tickets?
I remember getting a student ticket on the lower level for the 2009 acc championship for $40, and ai bought it late. Some bought it for $20.

Based on the email I got with the ticket prices, our allotment will likely be endzone to the 50 yd line all the way up.

Anyone who hated Tampa is insane. Jacksonville was terrible, but Tampa was pretty damn good. Never understood anyone who didn't enjoy it. But I am looking forward to going to Charlotte.

We'll have a large contingency there if we win the division.
