ACC explains how Georgia Tech’s primary partners were determined

More proof that Stupidsbury is a loser when he wants to give up on Clemson.
:deadhorse:Gooff Collins is a joke. 3-9.

TBH, I’m ready for something to happen. At this point, I don’t really GAF about any conference games that aren’t Clemson, UM, or FSU. Most everyone else is in the same boat. We either need to get into B1G or SEC or pack it in and do our best MIT impression. I don’t really care much about continuing play in the acc (particularly so if it gets raided) and really don’t care about being in a leftovers conference. Do something big now or öööö it is my attitude.

I actually like UNC games

You want to attempt to fix the problem? There is one clear answer. He’s at Jackson State right now.

If GT hires Sanders, and recruiting doesn’t get better, etc, people can finally stop with the excuses and realize the school itself is and continues to be the primary issue. It’s not the GA BOR, ACC, NCAA (fill in excuses X,Y,Z here). The little man syndrome of the GT fan base shows it’s true colors in threads like this. The ACC doesn’t go out of their way to say “Oh we hate GT, let’s make their schedule tougher than everyone else….”

The ACC didn’t schedule OOC games against Ole Miss, UCF, etc. GT did.

Complaining about scheduling in the worst P5 conference doesn’t bode well, when you want a seat at the big boy tables in the B1G or SEC.

We replaced Pitt and Duke with Wake and Louisville. Wash imo. Duke means nothing to me.

We will play Miami and Virginia Tech slightly less, and play FSU much more often.

All in all it's kind of a wash. Objectively, Tech didn't get shafted so much as other schools had much more meaningful ACC rivalries to consider.

If Tech leadership was really stupid enough to diminish the Clemson rivalry, there is no way we would have gotten FSU anyway.

I remember reading something about the FSU AD did not want GT as a primary rival. I don't know why. Seems like a great fit in all sports. Has Stansbury made any comments about this? I wish there was someone that could give a clear answer. It seems like either the ACC or us are not proactive towards our future.

We aren’t goin to the SEC. We’ll be lucky if its B1G

The revenue we bring in honestly doesn’t bring in enough for either

We’re goin to be better served as a Conf USA, or FunBelt. App State and GSU will soon blow past us in football rev if not careful
Sadly, you are prob right.

People were all like wahhhh, why would Tech want to move to the B1G? Will annual games against Northwestern and Illinois move the needle? Umm, well, our own conference just saddled us with WF and Louisville every year.
It has never been “our conference”. The ACC has always been about North Carolina, Duke, NCST and WF. They have always run the show, from screwing other teams schedules for their own benefit, to controlling biased officiating.

Strickland did suggest, though, that it wasn’t a high priority for either school, though the teams have played each other 87 times, making Clemson fourth among Tech’s frequently played opponents. Clemson winning the past seven games by 27.1 points dulled the rivalry, and Tech athletic director Todd Stansbury didn’t seem especially keen on continuing to face juggernauts Clemson and Georgia annually.
So we should have dropped UGay then.

I thought they just used 12 sided dice and rolled to see who are pod partners would be.

Don't like Louisville as a permanent for since I'm an alum. I'm a way bigger tech fan so I'll always pull for Tech, just won't like it on a yearly basis.

I'd had rather had VT or any other team in the original 9 team round robin I was used to growing up. If we had drawn anyone other than Wake, with Lousville I'd probably be a little more happy. I do like the fact of being able to play FSU more in the new scheduling though.
