I actually like UNC gamesTBH, I’m ready for something to happen. At this point, I don’t really GAF about any conference games that aren’t Clemson, UM, or FSU. Most everyone else is in the same boat. We either need to get into B1G or SEC or pack it in and do our best MIT impression. I don’t really care much about continuing play in the acc (particularly so if it gets raided) and really don’t care about being in a leftovers conference. Do something big now or öööö it is my attitude.
Conference USA here we comeWe should leave the first chance we get
Not a whole lot of difference between that an an ACC minus FSU and Clemson.Conference USA here we come
We aren’t goin to the SEC. We’ll be lucky if its B1GI actually like UNC games
Sadly, you are prob right. We aren’t goin to the SEC. We’ll be lucky if its B1G
The revenue we bring in honestly doesn’t bring in enough for either
We’re goin to be better served as a Conf USA, or FunBelt. App State and GSU will soon blow past us in football rev if not careful
Agreed. And MiamiNot a whole lot of difference between that an an ACC minus FSU and Clemson.
It has never been “our conference”. The ACC has always been about North Carolina, Duke, NCST and WF. They have always run the show, from screwing other teams schedules for their own benefit, to controlling biased officiating.People were all like wahhhh, why would Tech want to move to the B1G? Will annual games against Northwestern and Illinois move the needle? Umm, well, our own conference just saddled us with WF and Louisville every year.
They just threw öööö against a wall to see what stuck and GT was the wall.
So we should have dropped UGay then.Strickland did suggest, though, that it wasn’t a high priority for either school, though the teams have played each other 87 times, making Clemson fourth among Tech’s frequently played opponents. Clemson winning the past seven games by 27.1 points dulled the rivalry, and Tech athletic director Todd Stansbury didn’t seem especially keen on continuing to face juggernauts Clemson and Georgia annually.
I don’t know who Strickland is but his quote that Stansbury “didn’t seem especially keen” is both vague and meaningless. So we should have dropped UGay then.
They used a weighted one to make sure that Tech got ööööed.I thought they just used 12 sided dice and rolled to see who are pod partners would be.
