ACC Insider Reports Georgia Tech to Quick Lane Bowl

From coit’s post above the glaring arguments are:
UVA in the Belk
Miami in the Gator

Secondarily;
VPI in the Military

Belk hates on us more than any other Bowl.

That doesn’t matter. Bowls pick who they want, so long as the teams are within one win of each other in their records, or something like that.

And because Swofford is a little bitch? GT would fill Charlotte for CPJ's last game. Is Miami gonna fill up Jacksonville?

We were in Jax 2 years ago I guess would be their rationale for not picking us. The Charlotte thing is a real head scratcher because I thought we showed up pretty strong for the ACCCG, right?
 
When are the bowls and playoffs going to be declared? Today?

I believe that may have to do with the nefarious Demaryius Thomas clothing scandal, lucky we didn't get the NCAA "Death Penalty" .....

I think his analysis isn't too bad, honestly, given prior trends. But I think it's very possible that CPJ's retirement bumps us up into a Tier I over Virginia or Miami.

But UVA has wins over Bill and Mary, Ohio, Richmond, and Liberty on their resume. They got beat by Indiana. Indy ööööing Anna

Is that conference record or overall record?

VT to Military Bowl also makes no sense along with UVA/Belk and UM/Gator.

Ya I just don't get how UVA is an attractive sell anymore. There was so much build up over finally beating VT and they screwed it up. Maybe if we were still in the same post-rival state I could see it, but the retirement should make us the more attractive team to a bowl.

They bring fewer people to the game than any team on our schedule.

And normally that wouldn't matter for Belk. Belk board of directors is chocked full of tobacco roadies. BUT, the national attention for CPJ's last game might give us enough oomph to bust over the tobacco road nepotism for the first time. They also might want to pick us once ever just so they can say they've picked us, and might decide that this is a good year to pass on UVA or Miami.

Well, maybe. But right now their base is pretty excited about Bronco Mendenhall, and with pretty good reason IMO, the VT debacle not withstanding.
