FSU and the rest of the Malevolent 7 is good with this because they imagine themselves making it to those postseason events. When they don't they'll surely try to change the rules or leave again.

I can live with the teams making the football playoffs and basketball tourney and advancing getting more $$$. That is an incentive for everyone. I could not tolerate a self proclaimed group of a big 7 automatically getting more money than others.

Here’s the funny part. In the past, the ACC as a whole had an interest in screwing a conference member in order to get a team in the playoffs.

Let’s say unc is a bubble team. The conference members would get more money by screwing over GT to avoid an upset. Even GT had an incentive to get screwed. Now, not so much. Maybe conference members will have more incentive for neutral refs.

Except half the time (at least) the ACC screwed some teams over to help out the teams they wanted to win, not always teams that were actually successful.

Now this is funny right here. Is this still the football board or did I stumble onto the engineering board? Yeah, we are so smart we went from being a top tier SEC program to being a worthless independent to being a below average ACC team. I’m sure everyone is quaking in their boots for the rise of a program who is hoping to get to a mid December Bowl game and be thrilled with it.
