ACC Schedule Release

So, just curious what makes you see Colorado, VT and Cuse as losses?

Well Last year GT lost to Cuse and VT. I think Colorado is as good as Vandy even with their senior losses and we lost to Vandy. Again I might change my mind based on the Spring game.

Using Athlon’s early ranking of the ACC teams in ‘25, the conference games only strength of schedule shows that we are right in the middle with the 9th easiest/hardest schedule. We don’t play 2, 3 or 4. We also don’t play 14, 15 or 17.

The six hardest conference schedules are: 1. Syracuse 2. Clemson 3. BC 4. Louisville 5. Pitt 6. FSU
The six easiest conference schedules are: 1. UVA 2.UNC 3. Miami. 4. Duke. 5. NC State. 6. VT

Tobacco Road shows up well in one of those lists, not in the other. Miami should make it to the championship game. Syracuse really has a tough schedule. They play 1,2,3,5,6,7,10,12.

A pessimist in recovery taking a stab at it:

Colorado - L
Gardner-Webb - W
Clemson - L
Temple - W
Wake - W
VT - L
Duke - W
Syracuse - W
NC State - W
BC - W
Pitt - W
Georgia - W

9-3. Probably just miss out on Charlotte and end up similar to SCjr this year. Poptart bowl anyone?

(Edited to add: this is the first time I've gone into a season seeing zero automatic L's in a very long time. Every single game is winnable. Most are losable too though. Haven't felt this confident in a COFH win in a long time. I refuse to believe Haynes King leaves campus without beating those guys.)

Which conference team on our schedule would you pick to be the most likely team to give us an opening loss in conference play, and why would your pick reflect a winner mentality?

How bout we just kick Clemson's ass?

Last year really doesn't have anything to do with this year. We lost to Cuse by 3 points playing absolutely horrible football for 3.5 quarters. They lost their starting QB, RB, and TE, all potential NFL draft picks and haven't replaced them with anybody of note. We lost to VT playing an injured Pyron and waited way too late to put Philo in. Colorado IMO was probably slightly better than Vandy WITH the seniors they lost. We had 10+ guys out for the Vandy game too and we all know how that ref show went anyway. Colorado I think we should win (we are currently favored to win on the road) but will reserve judgment after I see what final rosters look like post-spring, but Cuse and VT at home? I don't think we lose those.
